POSTALDON…… NOT JUST A NAME BUT A PHILOSOPHY AND A WAY OF LIFE”
There are famous people and people not so famous. There are big people and small, strong and weak, rich and poor but there
are no insignificant people. Everyone leaves a footprint on the path of life.
A little about myself is in order I guess. I was born the day that man first flew faster than the speed of
sound. You can say that I came in with a boom, a sonic boom. I have been a widower since my wife passed away in June 2003
after a prolonged illness. We were together for 29 years. We have no children together but she had a daughter form a former
marriage and I had 2 from a former marriage of my own.
I am medically retired from the USMC. I went to Viet Nam in 1965 and suffered the loss of my right leg due
to an explosion. I spent a year in the Naval Hospital in Philadelphia which has since been torn down. I worked my way back
to Ohio.
After a number of small jobs and 2 failed marriages I met my last wife and we moved to the Carolinas where
I worked at a number of different things, too many to mention here, until about 21years ago I started at the Post Office in
Wilmington North Carolina. I retired in 2006 at the age of 58.
Now I plan to get into the photography business. Who knows I may be another Ansel Adams or Owen Mills or maybe
just someone that likes to take pictures. Life is full of new adventures.
